As the Freedom Foundation’s Thanksgiving outreach efforts come to a close, the results show Washington union members wanting out in huge numbers.
Members of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) have been leaving in droves.
In less than 30 days, WFSE lost 78 members.
Over the past few years, WFSE has been embroiled in scandal, and it’s wearing thin with its membership.
Another union bleeding members in Washington is the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). In less than 30 days, SEIU lost 83 members from multiple locals throughout the state.
Many SEIU represented employees choosing to leave are home care aides and childcare providers.
Thanks to the Freedom Foundation’s outreach efforts, more and more government employees are learning the facts about their unions and deciding to opt-out.
